Does the author have a Filipino lover lol?? It's kinda funny to me that the Philippines here is MENTIONED alot. Maybe it's the whole way too much proud of Filipinos but they did their research abit with how the ML looked In the backstory. Also I just realised the ML may probably speak tagalog FLUENTLY (I forgot if be mentions he can't understand)
Anyways nothing it's probably just a random choice of country but I love being seen <3 it's true though the orphanage here is HARSH like that for every country but when it's a 3rd world... Ugh. I've been there and they don't feed you much of good food. The showering and everything is often dirty, I hated it. So I get why when ML talks abt it it's VERY accurate to irl orphans and the state of living there.
