Ehh I wouldnt call cheating misogynistic? But other than that, that scene did feel kinda unnessessary.. we could have learned about his host background in other ways..

It's exactly the fact that it was added despite being unnecessary. Just read all their works and you'll find a minor unnecessary detail like that that doesn't seem much on its own, but taken all together makes it feel rather misogynistic.
