You’ve seen Suho’s logic on this. And it makes sense. The moment Suho was personally supported by the chairman he was going to have a target on him.
And being below level 40 AND being the target of a being that can manipulate B ranks and below on a whim is suicidal. And it’s not like he had a chance to come clean after the battle with Minsung when it would have been a good time to do so - being stuck in the rank up trial for three weeks.
Suho made the best choices he could in the moment. Unfortunately, factors outside his control made things worse for him in the short-term.
And if you’re complaining about those factors being conveniently timed to cause issues, you are reading the wrong series. Because that was it was in the OG Solo Leveling novel, and it’s not going to go away here.
So this direction is also happening in the novel? I read from a comment here that the novel and manhwa are different plots/directions.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Solo Leveling (OG), but this shit didn't happen there. And I'm entitled to my own opinion so don't tell me what I should be reading or not. I'll decide that myself.
Also, Suho's an adult (in college), he knows what's right and wrong. But this time, he made the wrong choice/decision. He's not as strong as his dad yet and he needs allies (AKA the Chairman, his uncles and S-ranks).

All this misunderstanding is annoying. If only Suho came clean at least with the Chairman in the 1st place instead of taking on the threat and investigating himself.
