His battle with Viper sped up the process of it destroying his body because he basically put it into overdrive from anger. She I assume didn't ever do that so hers was still slow.

At the ceremony when the new venom thing was being shown, it got used on his friend but then when the fight happened and he used the venom later on we found out it was killing him but what about his friend? Did she not use the same venom or what?
