I try telling people to read older BLs. Like don’t let art style or the fact it’s not illustrated in color stop you from experiencing an amazing story.
I agree with you. After digesting so many new/modern ones, many are great but so many are really not well-plotted / shallow / rushed / mediocre. I’m now looking for BL pieces with more depth in them.
Old yaoi usually have a lot more emotions being delivered into them , actual storylines and their aura is so real.
I stumbled across this 6-7 years ago when I just started out with BL. Old yaoi has an unexplainable kind of depth.
I haven’t been able to move / forget this one & I refuse to. I’ll keep coming back to check on it until the very end.
