It's precisely because of people like you that these kinds of works shouldn't exist. If every person who comes across this garbage was as smart as, fortunately, most of the comments here are, it wouldn't be a problem that so much of yaoi uses rape, incest, pedophilia, grooming, assault, torture etc. as setting for their porn. The problem with yaoi is that unlike hentai where the standard way of presenting porn is making it so obviously ridiculous, such a caricature that no one would confuse it as anything other than porn, yaoi writers try to disguise their porn as normal romance stories causing them to fall into the pit of normalising these disturbing sexual tropes. The problem is that a good chunk of the audience is stupid enough to not be able to make that distinction themselves if the author doesn't do it for them. And unfortunately, there's no way to police access to porn in a way that can filter out those who are not yet mature enough to take care of themselves even when the creators of these story aren't exercising the necessary diligence.

These are just stories, not facts of life. Thus, fictional. If you have a problem with it, go be free to read something more substantial that you're preaching about.

I dunno, I'm on the side of them wanting to reconcile. It's fked up, yes, but that's the undertone of the whole story. It's still there, it definitely happened, so even if they try to get over it, the fked up parts are still there.
They're both fked up in their own way and both are stupid as hell in how they acted. But, hey, ~~Love~~ tramples all of that noise, right?
