And since he can't express and separate them he doesn't know how to treat bum. He know that Bum is important for him. He can't kill Bum but he hurts him. When he said are you going back to your beloved uncle he was jealous and didn't want to get rejected. He was scared because he loved Bum. He drowned him because he was scared of losing him.

Imagine this if he had at least one family figure that loved him, he could at least treat Bum a bit better than how he is now, Sangwoo thinks that by being violent with Bum he's showing him his love but he's not
His mom loved him but afte getting beaten up she let her frustration out on sangwoO, but he still loved her..and then his sad killed her and took sangwoo along to burry her in the woods..and then sangwoo killed him. Imagine how traumatized Sangwoo is. I feel sorry for both of them. A child who never been looved can't express love and violence is the only thing he learned from his parents. He is between two emotions and he can't deal with them or separate them.
