well, to me, Lou is slowly overcoming his trauma as he's acting as older brother with children, continue his studies and etc.; most of time he's childish with Kenny
and honestly, it's still great that he's willing to live cuz he wasn't only kidnapped but raped for years, seen his dear people die in front of him and don't forget that this cockroach Isaac played with his mind saying it was Lou's fault for someone's death.
In my opinion, that author really good at representing PTSD with characters, so it's fine to me to see such slow developments

ngl i was more interested in the second couple; xexing and Shadid. they’re love story excite me more than Lou and Kenny (I’m saying kenny so hopefully Lou don’t kill me JK AHAHAHHA).

ALSO, i get that Lou was kidnap for 10 years, but like throughout the chapters, he doesn’t get much character development ?? he still acts like a baby, which i find it super odd in the series. i would like someone’s opinion of Lou cause i don’t wanna come across misunderstanding of the character. or yall somewhat agree?
