I wouldn’t have noticed if not for the fact that these two stories are nearly identical: “Dash” and “Melting Point” are both set in a sports context with an older bottom who was once a pretty good athlete but quit, and a younger top who admired him deeply during their training days at the same sports center. Though, they didn’t get a long too well back then, mostly because the top was awkward and lacked social skills. Years later, they reunite under tense, professionally-driven circumstances, and in both stories, the top ends up signing with the bottom’s agency. The bottom also quietly admire the top’s raw talent, and seeing the top with all the achievements reminds the bottom of his long-buried dream of being the best in their field, a dream he has given up on. Both of the tops have unrequited feelings, while both of the bottoms are hesitant and wounded by the past. So while there are some added details that are different, the character dynamics and plot structure are nearly identical I must say.

This is too similar to “Dash”…
