Imagine if they tried to fit the first 60 chapters into 10 chapters, so they decided to just skip over massive segments. That's probably accurate as to how this version feels for the last 10 chapters

Well the biggest thing is the chasing arc. MC spends like a solid year living his own life and being his own person. It's a very cute arc that gives him space to grow. We also skipped learning MCs backstory which is pretty important to understanding his issues with the relationship. And then ofc this arc where he's back in the field is stretched out more.
What is the backstory??
It's been a while, but the TLDR is that MC was imprisoned like a slave by the esper he had last bonded with. Didn't have any exposure to the outside world until some other esper saved him (though it resulted in MC killing his bonded esper indirectly). So he has some baggage to put it lightly
The story really fell apart with all the stuff they skipped. Actually super upsetting. I recommend everyone read the novel.
