I just read it again. I think you're talking about Juda and Ruado having mutual respect for each other. Not Juda and Datao. They're having a love hate relationship that is going to be explain in their story. Considering it been at least 10 years of being stuck together- maybe they like each other a little more now.
I am one of the few that bothered to read the character profiles on Chapter 6 and by the looks of it, there is no shared love between Daato and Juda. Just mutual respect, which is nice but totally not what I was expecting.
