IT WAS ALWAYS HIM!!!!!!!!!! He made himself a better person and got the happy ending and I am crying! Like I theorized that the friend was the og soul reincarnated because of the facial expressions but really it was always him. While any ending is sad by the fact that it is over, this one was also oh so satisfying.
