Fr, especially considering mc is still in high school. It's a hormonal mess at that stage of life so I always feel more for the high school characters who do stupid and irrational stuff because it's such a human thing, especially for being a teenager.
If someone hit my younger sibling (I'm the youngest sibling in my family but I have quite a few younger cousins who are kinda like lil siblings) because my sibling yelled at me about something stupid, I'd cut that person from my life.
