My guess, from how i know chinese novels to be, they tend to explain every small detail which is often more important than what actually happens...this is a classic case of only adapting parts of the story, its like some moments are missing and are underexplained...sadly it ruins the story bc it makes it unclear and not coherent

’m so lost… one moment she loves him, then two slides later she doesn’t know, she doesn’t want to hurt him but then stabs him with a dagger?? He’s kind, then suddenly not. They cry at random, they fight at random—can someone PLEASE explain what’s going on??? ┗( T﹏T )┛
