i really love your analysis. as a dohwa glazer im so upset that 10 years later he still has no friends like … ?? hes incredibly famoud and handsome and also can be caring so why does my man got no friends but sooae once again? this story definitely exist in a very contained universe. but i cant stop flipping the pages not bc its really good but bc im alrd far too invested
As someone clase to their age I can don't believe Sooae feels unfulfilled but perhaps she feels exhausted from a cluster of things as a teen. Raim, Minu, Euhyeok, her parents and the Dohwa. I think she is burnt out trusting others. Now i don't understand eunhyeok etc even with family trauma. I believe dohwa has close ones but here it shows that he still experiences not wanting to get close to others due to the popularity. Like i dont think he told people about his real background. I can believe he is still in that predicament.
It is hard to think all of them became successful with kind of the same issues though or even thinking about the other this strongly though.

I’ve come to the conclusion that this author is either really young, like hasn’t been through college, or has never had real human experiences or interactions. Her characters are so detached from any inkling of reality. No growth, no maturity, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Her idea of growing uo is ‘suae has a perfect life with a great job and support system yet remains unfulfilled because ex from high school isn’t there.’ Like wtf.
If you want to read a great story with deeply fleshed out characters that actually display human like personalities and personal journeys go read Cheese in the Trap. Don’t torture yourself with this bullshit.
You can tell Soonki has actually lived life and puts a very human touch into her characters.
