so bunny is a demon and tiger an angel?

They are both shinigami gathering souls but somehow are trying to raise "points" to return to their bodies??? because Bunny speaks about Kotetsu being different from how he was before and what Kotetsu says at the end seems to point to it as well. The doll he carries with him seems important to him (bunny). ;^;
