Agreed! I've been in Hangun's position before and in my case, the person was so afraid of being abandoned that they abandoned me first. Totally understand that they're coming from a place of trauma but it hurts! Hangun had his own trauma that he bottles up and focuses on helping Won. I suspect he does this so he doesn't have to think too much about his own family problems. Their relationship ended up being very one-sided but I hope that in season 2 we'll see the roles reverse a bit and Won is the one looking after Hangun.
Sorry to hear that. Not doubt the one that got abandoned hurts more and felt betrayed to a certain extent. I agreed. Hangu has his own trauma yet, he put won first before himself. I hope Hangu doesn't go to jail or anything. Won does not deserve a 2nd chance with him. Hangu is better off without him.
Lee won's character is realistic. He suffered long term abuse from his father. I don't feel sorry for han gu in anyway because he initiated their relationship and he's clearly drawn to lee won (even knowing he self harm). People who sought after abused people just has to give more effort and assurance because clearly lee won has limited safe place (his mom being away most of the time). Lee won will not change just for the plot lol
Meh that's usually how these stories tend to go. The main character with trauma learns to overcome their trauma by the end of the story. Hangun's already bending over backwards to give Leewon reassurance. They're both flawed characters which is just good writing. But the first season already set us up to learn that Hangun has his own issues and we have no idea how he deals with them, it's setting us up to expect that Leewon will become a part of how those issues will resolve.

I kinda feel sorry for han gu getting involved with won. He was always the one making effort in the relationship. Now he is going to be sentenced because of what happened to won's father and yet, won decided to stay slient while Han gu life is in tatters because of loving him. Won asked Han gu to wait for him and now he is throwing him away to move on with his life. Won claimed to love han gu very much but I am not seeing any real effort of him making any sacrifices for han gu. All he did was acting stubborn and lashing out at Han gu when Han gu is upset at how his dad treated him. On the other hand, Han gu has always treated him like a princess. Maybe trauma is just too overwhelming for won to do anything. Ultimately, people only love and want to protect themselves.
