I see a bit of what you're saying - but they're also in middle school, that was the most angst and hormones I've dealt with in life so don't be too hard on him, he's confused on what he wants, but yes a few instances I felt that he was too intense
I didn't realize when I wrote this come off it would sound like I'm hating on him. I love Zhan on a spiritual level. The point of my comment was just that Zhan is darker than what is portrayed on the surface.
Zhang-Xi is naive, oblivious, & slow. Yi is an idiot (No hate, his friends literally tells him that constantly). Let's not forget that Yi gets mediocre grades & Zhang-Xi still copies Yi's homework. We're not working with bright boys here.
Pretty sure Zhan likes Jian Yi on an almost toxic level. He's just so tsundere about it MOST of the time. Remember that chapter where he almost fucking rampaged on those innocent girls because he thought they were talking about Jian Yi? And then there was that really fucking intense moment in chapter 156. Zhan ain't oblivious and neither is he as pure as most people see him as. I think Zhan is a darker character than what is seemingly portrayed.
