Honestly the anime is really not scary. It failed to deliver the vibe of the manga but the whole anime is an okay to watch. Since they have quite nice seiyuus and animation.

Naaahhh. If u want worthy jumpscare season 1-4 yamishibai is good, short and compact. This anime instead focused on the plot. Maybe ull get the horror vibe of the manga but to me its not that much. The manga still better.
Its probably because of the brightness(?). Maybe.
