Danmei is just top tier. Most yaoi are just fetish put together in one book. Shounen Ai is better than yaoi and much meaningful focusing on the feelings building rather than intercourse. BL manhwas on the other hand is on the same standing as yaoi .
Danmei could be just as fetishy as yaoi if it's not for cencorship. You could still find some of the fetishy ones tho. I've read a danmei worse than this manga. There are great meaningful bl if you know what to look for whether it's danmei, bl manga, or bl manhwas, like there are the bad ones too.
