I think it's just a fourth wall break. It's just an idea like, you know, there's been so many concepts, conspiracy theories that maybe our existence is just a pang In the universe, a flash in someone's brain or it could possibly be having. You know, it's that crazy idea that these ideas we have aren't necessarily just ideas or these games there are so many with a fourth wall break character who understands that you are controlling us but I still have a will. The bishop even says that I guess you could be considered "our Gods" plural so maybe he has different enlightenment or more powers to see thats its apart of a "game" but he still feels and exists in his realm if feels real to all of the them

It's not like she was the only one who played it. Thousands played it. And completionists aren't that rare. Why not pull in every single player then? She's not even the game's creator, why not them?
I don't understand that point in stories about authors being pulled into their own works. Yeah, sure, they might have been the ones to write in many different events and tragedies, but should they feel bad for it? No. Who would even want to read action series with no stakes? Authors have to create interesting and thrilling stories, or nobody would read them.
Author should just ask the complaining characters: "Well, how would YOU do it then? Write it. Make it interesting. If it's something people would read, I will apologize. If not, shut the f*ck up."
