Well, we are rooting for him because he changed. Because acknowledged that he was in the wrong, he felt guilty, and finally able to bring himself to take responsibility over it.
He was a pos. But now he is not. We are rooting for the no longer pos version of him.
And i honestly hope he would be able to apologize to his family. Not just for dokgo, but for his family aswell so that they can free themselves from the past. Not that i want them to forgive him, even i won't. But hearing the person who hurt you finally apologizing and felling guilty can help alleviate a bit of selfhatred caused by abuse.

But it's just....you know when you read something like that from like the mother's or daughter's perspective...the whole thing changes....
Like so many manhwas have daddy issues with similar undertones and ya those are literal shits as parent...but you get my point right? In those we don't want them to forgive we dont even want them to meet and want that parent to leave as soon as they arrive....it just makes you think how much a change in perspective can change things
While i wouldn't say dokgo is blame less in the whole clinic fiasco....I would say he definately is to blame for what happened in his home.
Bro didn't take any responsibility in parenting. And before anyone says that he was involved and was actively participating in his daughter's life...that is not participating that's just putting his ideation of what his daughter should look like and do. He does the same with his wife.
If we didn't know his other personality of amnesic dokgo would anyone be on his side?from his families view point he is just an abusive coward who ran away from his responsibility!
It's so weird that we are rooting for him....and hoping that he meets up with his family
