I don’t think so, as some one who has heard how awful my fathers family was to him, I do not want to meet with them out of my on morality and respect for my father. Byul should stand by the parent who stood by him and understand that there is a reason Hyesung no longer speaks to his mother. If he wanted a better understanding he should have asked Hyesung and been honest with him. Hyesung would have given his opinion on whether or not he could meet his grandma. Instead he snuck behind Hyesungs back and met his grandma after he most likely knew why Hyesung stopped talking to her.
Some traumas are meant to be forgotten especially what was the cause of it and in this one, it's his mother. People who's experiencing severe trauma can get very hard to open up, recover, accept and very stubborn to the bones. Hyesung is already broken and it took a lot of time to forgive himself and accept even his child Byul.
I'm curious how the author will fix this deep trauma tho.

Ngl, I'm not that mad at byul for meeting with his grandma. She's still family and it makes sense for a kid to want to know his family no matter how awful they are. I've been in his place, having to go out of my way to get to meet family members just because our parents weren't on speaking terms. Dojin is wrong for supporting her tho, this issue had nothing to do with him, he should have respected his wife wishes.
