I went into this blind and I personally don't mind the cheating trope cuz its literally a very realistic problem but finding out the omega was the beta's dad was crazy. I really wish the alpha and omega had suffered more and faced the consequences of their actions cuz there was literally no accountability on the alpha's path and he got to eat his cake and had it. The omega deserved to have been caught and fired for abuse of his power dynamic over a student, it was so annoying with him working so hard to prove his worth in an alpha dominated field and neglecting his kid that he had as a teenager only to throw it all away for sex with an alpha student and neither of them were held accountable. Writing the beta as a cheater too when its clear he cheated after he noticed the alpha was pulling away doesn't make the alpha any less of a shitty character. I'm lowkey kinda curious about the beta's dad and why his parent's were not together since based on their ages they should have been highschool sweethearts and teenage parents. All in all I didn't hate the story, the plot is unique and the writing is very good and the progression was decent. I liked the unpredictable twists compared to the boring straight forward storyline most BL have. I get why this story gets hate but it isn't worst that the likes of jinx and the plethora of rapey stories everyone eats up, so people need to relax, I'll take a cheating trope over any of this sickening rape apologist stories where characters fall in love with their rapist.
