side stories for a short story is actually diabolical. just make the story longer

    idk what the real reason is, but i think it may be because shorter story is easier for artists to do, especially if it's (or one of) their first story. they test the water by writing the short story and if it gets enough readers the author can then just decide to do side stories.

    Yeah with a longer story its easier to mess things up that’s probably why
