i never commented on this site before but this chapter got me so riled up i need get it out of my system. holy shit i need hyesung is crash out even harder because this is such a slap in the face. i hate the fact that because this is Byul and what's his face's story, Hyesung's trauma will not be the center of attention it deserves, just like how it's being used as a plot device to get Byul and dude to kiss and move their relationship along.
there's a lot of problems with the OG story, and i think everyone know it by now but the one thing i liked about it was that the writer didn't make Hyesung forgive and reconcile with his mom at the end. He chose to embrace his new life and family and leave his traumatic past behind. I really like that the writer didn't follow the "all is forgiven because we're family" trope but this whole plot with Byul and Dojin keeping in touch with grandma is such ass backwards move.
hyesung please crash the fuck out. this husband and song are way to comfortable disrespecting your decision. if the writer is intentional about why the story is called "love is an illusion" then damn hyesung please love yourself cause this family of yours does not love you.
