I think it was stated that there may not be a romance. It's more of a one-sided love story than mutual. The plot will focus more on the MC trying to manipulate and trick the ML by playing on the ML's one-sided feelings for the MC.
At this point I just wonder how this will develop into romance (￣∇￣"). I mean his dad was killed, I doubt there’s gonna be forgiving, is it gonna be BE. I’m desperately waiting for S2. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
