But are we really surprised by Hayden's reaction? Brett pushed all his buttons, and the worst ones : his emotional traumatic ones. After 2 years of emotional torture (being bonded and thrown like dirt), Brett comes back as if nothing, clinging to him, with the same forced mechanisms, control, material stuff and yet again no emotional vulnerability from Brett.
Hayden said no in every possible way, yet Brett keeps burning everything about him. What's left to do? Especially, what's left to do when you're extremely disappointed and hurt by someone, yet still painfully and cruelly enamored by them. Brett said he wants it rough, and Hayden is pushing this to the limit, the limit of coldness, roughness.
My 2 cent thoughts :
1. Hayden is testing Brett by giving what he asked for in such a disgusting way.
2. The challenge is here for Brett to change, to still go with the roughness but ask genuinely for something more, the affection, and not by empty words but by opening himself.
Like the s*x they had in the car, it was rough but affectionate. Also, just remember how Hayden treated Brett when he first saw him again in season 3, happy, wrapping a scarf etc

Thank you for this analysis, but why is this last sex scene done in a disgusting way in your opinion? like I just read the chapter and granted I can't understand shit cuz my korean is ass but isn't this level of roughness sth they had in the past? or is it just the lack of affection and hayden sort of going back to that hard front he'd had back when they first started fucking?
They were always rough yes, but i feel like there has always been a difference between their rut/normal s*x. During his rut, yes Hayden was always out of it, but the times when he was conscious, for example when they were at Hayden's parents, Hayden prepped him, thought about the lube, and the car one, when he took advice from Brett. In both cases, they did kiss and even hug, there was intimacy. (In the car, Brett made a grimace and Hayden stopped, yet in this chapter, Brett bled etc and Hayden didn't stop)
Chap 52 ... Brett turned multiple times, reading Hayden's face. I don't know what he was looking for, but he didn't find it. No glitters, no care, no intimacy, just a cold, angry face. And like Hayden said "I'm giving you the f*ck you want" (and maybe not the one Hayden wants). The author didn't show the forced kiss in the elevator in chap 47, I think the first time they'll kiss this season would be meaningful
Hayden really put him in a dilemma. He's telling him if he ever feels rejected, that would be over. And maybe it's a way to make Brett face their reality. If Brett says stop in any way, it's the end, and if their dynamic remains the same, after those 2 dates granted, that would also mean the end. So in the middle of all of this, Brett needs to show a certain vulnerability for Hayden to stay, and not empty words about affection etc
Did you notice him somehow hurt when Hayden implied he fooled around? Again wondering about the 2 years skip...

Hayden reaction ignoring brett are valid if look at but at some point author is just dragging it or what recent bathroom sex reminds me of time when they had sex in college but even compared to that time this one is rough one brett is likely not understanding what "love" is and what he wants from Hayden but pester Hayden if he had slept with someone or not .... In recent 53 chapter brett probably expecting how long Hayden can keep the heartless behaviour toward hn since he has imprinted on him.
