OG BF didn't deserved the fate life gave to him or rather the mc. He save his life and everything and yet got casted away by his lover. I would have accepted it the guy reincarnated but he didn't it's the same body with the same memories. Despite that, he chose his disciple first rather than having a conclusion with his OG lover who saved him from time to time despite being rejected. It's lowkey cheating for me.
I feel like the OG BF deserves better. He martyr himself for MC, afterall.
