finally reading some common sense from all these comments.
while some readers kept saying that this amnesia arc drags the story (which i agree tho) this gives another perspective if nux wasn't too in love with owen. and would also give us the "redemption arc" when owen left nux suddenly (although i understand why owen did that, that doesn't justify his actions to leave nux some heavy trauma, and nux being in-love with owen to the point that he just let it happen because he's somewhat at some point afraid that owen's gonna leave him just like before, idk actually just forgot some bits but you get the point.)
kinda wanna see how owen will try to win nux back without trying to bring back nux's memories and for nux to get some "freedom"
Yes! I want Nux to get freedom back. From the beginning, Owen has been trying to keep him as isolated as possible. Now that we know that he's paranoid that Nux will die in some way, it makes sense, but it still isn't fair to Nux. And I hate that Nux is just going along with it because now he's "so in love with him." It almost feels like his personality did a flip. I'm hoping that he'll find more of a balance now, and that Owen will have to put some more work in to win him back since as you said he left him with heavy trauma. Would it have been so hard to write even just write him a letter to explain his actions? But, no, Owen just assumed Nux would die soon so it didn't matter if he gave him trauma.

My first reaction was annoyance that the story is continuing and with pointless drama, but if you think about it, the author is making the story a circle. Owen left without any explanation which made Nux suffer for years. Before this drama, Nux admitted that he still wished they felt horrible. Well, in a way, this is his justice. If he leaves, then Owen will feel the pain he did. Of course, then Owen will do something to win him back the way Nux had to. And maybe that will put them on more of a level playing field then where they are at right now where Nux is basically just a kept pet as that one guy said. Sure Nux is working on making a spacecraft, but other than that, he has no life outside of Owen anymore. So if the story had ended, it would have been happy but not the most fitting end for Nux's character development. The what does the character want vs what the character needs argument. As entertaining as the story is, I definitely found the writing poor at the beginning, but I'm coming to appreciate it more. Owen's actions all make more sense now, Nux's perspective has grown, and now it's time for him to step up and find more of a balance I guess rather than denying Owen in his life and then allowing his entire life to evolve around him.
