same. you'd think there'd at least be a mention of it. I guess it died during one of the time skips but that's still a "character death" so it's a shame it was ignored. did that old grandpa that was the gate guard also pass away? I think so, but don't recall.

I think the guard died, there was a chapter that someone had died, I don't remember if it's xiaoxiao s grandfather or the gate guard

xiaoxiao's grandpa is still around, I think. he likes the son even if her dad doesn't. I'm pretty sure that one grandma passed away, the one that had the granddaughter that would come over and do homework w/ FL. I thought ML had mentioned her, but maybe not....

The grandma didn't pass away but I think she did move. They did mention that the gate guard passed away though.
