I do not feel their connection at all. Why do they even like each other?

You know, I've been reading yaoi for a long time now. When I switched to shoujo like this, I feel like shoujo author don't know how to build romance like yaoi author does. Even their dialogues feel lifeless at times. I always have fujoshi lens on whenever I read straight romance

Omg yes!! Finally someone said that!! I switch between yaoi and shoujo from time to time, cause I ultimately love both. But damn that’s such a common problem for shoujo I’m on chapter 18 and there’s literally no chemistry??? Like come on now… it also feels like main characters don’t have personalities whatsoever… I don’t know maybe there will be some development further on, but it’s a tough one for now
