i still like the new art but yeah something about the old one is almost like nostalgic for me,, the new art is crisper i feel
havsha i think with this art style it's easier to have more ppl work on it/it's easier for assistants to help, ify i miss the sketchier lining too
no fr like. i get they got deadlines and im glad it's getting released on a regular schedule and they truly have managed to keep it fairly similar and true to the original. Just that deep coloring and shading i really miss. gives it that little bit of extra depth for sure
its just so funny when you can tell a project going from a 'passion project made by the author bcs they like drawing to' ---> 'due date coming out get it done get it out get it published'
definitely a little crisper and cleaner, im sure its much easier for several people to work on like that haha
I started rereading this bcs its one of my favorite stories and im just a tad sad bcs the original art had this super original and unique sketch style that made it feel like a hand drawn story (obviously everything on here is hand drawn but I hope someone understands what i mean)
The colors were so vibrant and deep and well planned. And in the newer episodes, everything it just a lot smoother, brighter, and almost... modern. Its by no means bad and still one of my favorites. But if i had to compare the two
the original style gives me a warm cabin in the woods cuddle with a blanket feeling and the newer style is very modern chic hotel vibes.
im rambling but i hope someone understands what i mean </3
still obsessed with this novel and its art tho. just nostalgic for the original haha
