intense fictional themes exist, its part of the world of an artist & just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn’t mean it’s a smart move to hate on others for it. don’t you think its ridiculous to hate on something while willingly consuming it? unfortunately some people cannot admit to themselves they may enjoy reading these themes, & argue with other consumers of it. If the fact you didnt like it were true you simply wouldn’t read it & complaining about it doesnt make that any less true.
These fictional things wouldn't exist without these "themes", more so better described as crimes, existing in real life. Think of mainstream porn. Lots of people like to describe this site as a porn site (which i disgaree with, but since there's so much of it) and there isn't much of a difference between this and what goes down in mainstream. Mainstream porn gets defended despite the evidenceof rape and human trafficking, and so does these contents—yaoi, that include these themes sometimes too. You cannot just say fiction ≠ reality when other people get off to other people's suffering on screen, which is what you do and what other people do as well. Do you see where you just can't say that it's okay bc it's just fiction? King yaoi the third out. Live love Kim Dan x Nakyum
I completely understand your point, but there is no obligation to remain completely moral especially when it comes to art, that wasn’t my point. it’s completely irrational to hate on something while consuming it & denying to yourself that you enjoy reading it. driving a car puts you at risk of crashing, but you arent going to stop your entire life because of it, it’s the same with consuming dark pieces of media. of course it has the potential to cause harm, but no one is actively being harmed in fictional characters being painted this way.
Thank you for actually understanding what I was saying unlike some dumbasses (JAX). So I understand what you are trying to say and you seem to be very confident in your thoughts, so I will not try to change your opinion despite them differing from mine. I personally think that these themes do and can cause harm, which is why I just sorta get a little bit disappointed when people defend these things. I guess that is why the people who do come back to these types of stories, they are afraid of liking them because they still want to hold on to that sense of mortality. However you shouldn't always assume that the people that come back to these stories are in denial, some give out warnings to new comers and thats completely valid. It comes to stuff like romanticizing these situations, which lots of people do. Not to mention that a lot of younger people read bl or any sort of ertoic manga.. same with irl porn and stuff. Like as long as you don't defend these characters and situations then i can respect that as well. These are just my thoughts on it. Thanks for being civil and giving me a better understanding on why you think this way. King yaoi gives you his blessings.
No, it doesn't stop existing when you leave this site. Literally you will see other people praising manhwas like this on tiktok or Instagram. It doesn't end here and it won't end here. Sorry to break it to you but reading about Korean boys getting raped isn't where the line draws. It's literally in the most famous novels too, created by famous authors. You'll see these taboo themes every where you walk; shows, moves, people even joke about these things dude. and people like you romantize it and get mad when others question you for it when it's no different to mainstream porn–probably because it's not really any different from it. But as I told the other person, I'm not going to bother changing your mind bc I can tell that you'd just wanna argue with me instead of actually trying to see where I am coming from, and I must say that I have a pretty damn valid argument.
The comparison to mainstream porn featuring real people will never work because at the end of the day, these “popular novels and manhwa” aren’t REAL. There are no real women or children having their abuse broadcast on the internet by apathetic sex pests who don’t care about their human rights in yaoi. The fictional yaoi boys who are getting fucked up stop existing once you decide you’ve had enough. You can’t turn the screen off on real victims of human trafficking and sex slavery in the porn industry. Stop making ad hominem comparisons and learn some fucking object permanence.
You see if you actually understood what the fuck I was saying MOTHERFUCKER, you'd understand that I'm not comparing fucking rape yaoi to the same shit that happens irl. I'm comparing the fucking weirdos that view and enjoy shit like that. Maybe my explanation wasn't clear enough and I'm sorry about that, but that wasn't what I was to say. What IM saying is that I'm fucking tired of mfs like you reducing this shit to "just fiction" because it's NOT. It's real shit that happens in real life which this would literally not even exist without REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES. You seem very passionate about the victims irl, so let me ask you how and why it doesn't seem to make your blood boil to see the same shit get glorified and romantized in fiction? Why? What since does that fucking make? Imagine you yourself being a victim of this type of abuse, just to see every piece of media sexualizing the same shit you went through. Some people went out of their fucking way to try and create a game LITERALLY ABOUT RAPING WOMAN and you're here, right now, telling me that it's okay because it's fiction. I'm not even joking you can search it up. I'm lit so done of this conversation. It doesn't matter if it's fiction. Stop replying to me bro you'll never change my mind. You can't be an activist against these situations if you ONLY EXCUSE IT BECAUSE ITS FUCKING YAOI

Who tf even thinks of shit like this? They justify sll that r@pe in their mind btw!! The author thinks it's deserved and would stand by it. So fucking twisted, I genuinely am flabbergasted everytime I see a new chapter
