So much potential in this story, but poor execution in the end. They tried to throw in too much subplot/ detail while dedicating so many segments to just sex. I don’t hate smut, but it’s a pity when it’s prioritized over fleshing out the story, mysteries, and backgrounds of the main characters.
The children were also annoying. Again, more time was wasted on their slapstick reactions and personal opinions, rather than on the main character’s thoughts and development. They held the story back in a lot of ways. Should have been a one chapter thing, at most.
