? He got bought by the boss BECAUSE he remained a bear and the boss couldn't hand him off to get displayed at the mall. Only after rio felt his love, did he turn into a human. So he wasn't bought as a human, but as a teddy bear. ( + he's working at the shop because he wants to remain by the boss's side, that's the whole point of him wanting to be human.)
It feels wrong for me that Rio was sold even when he's human now. I mean... Just no. You can't buy humans. And he's still working at the shop, what's the point of that anyway?
