shounen ai is also a subgenre of yaoi thats specifically meant for more romantic fluffy stuff rather than smut and porn like this manhwa, which is why i recommended it since ive seen a lot of complaints on here abt how ppl dont like the toxic yaoi and stuff, i thought maybe u didnt know a subgenre specifically for fluffy bl already existed, so i was srs being genuine abt it, but u didnt have to be so rude yknow

First of all, your “if you don’t like it, don’t read it” comment was very patronising to the initial commenter who was just trying get a feel for people’s opinions on this webtoon and wasn’t being offensive, hence my reply of don’t be a dick. Be whatever you’re into, but even in fictional media there are lines and for a lot of people the authors depiction of this relationship is crossing it hence why so many have issues compared to other webtoons where there’s rape and SA. I just hate people trying to push down on others for not enjoying extreme abuse like asphyxiation and anal bleeding. I’m not saying you’re not entitled to enjoy these webtoons but why can’t we be more open to the fact that other people don’t like them and find fault with them instead of trying to silence them and push them out of the yaoi genre. I read the whole entire conversation and I gotta say, it IS a fictional reading. Truthfully if you don't like the reading, you're able to leave a review saying you don't like it, but at the same time, it DOES state that it's NOT really a classic "consentual" manhwa... like there are much worse readings out there and not only that, just stop reading it, look for ones that DO have consent and smut, although us other readers don't mind this reading and some actual DO wanna read this. I personally love BDSM and other readings, but you shouldn't force it down people's throat that it's garbage for the reading saying what it is. I just feel that people a lot of times complain about so many things if it's not to their liking for one reason or another and just for some reason DON'T drop it. It's called reading and free will for a reason, different books for different folks. For me personally I REALLY can't stand Shonen AI due to how if there isn't any smut I just get disappointed, I genuinely rather there be smut than "the next morning" that's just me. If you really love it, Our Sunny Days and that author which is my fav tends to make all their stories amazing and consensual, so maybe do check that out, but in general many of us want to read this one way or another, rape ofc isn't human or shouldn't be the norm in BL, but at the same time authors have free will, and stop trying to make logic out of a fictional book and look elsewhere for what you want to read. When reading especially I tend to separate fiction from reality, I read to enjoy things and relax after real life, if its making you stressed, read something you WILL enjoy, thank you <33
