Chapter 3 was the most fascinating to me

Having the story written from the perspective of the object of an unrequited love was new and refreshing. I'm confused about the "cheating" aspect everyone has their panties in a knot over. Adult relationships are more complicated than, "we dated or fucked for a while so we are a couple for life." I wasn't under the impression that vows of "forever" had been made between either couple. Life and living it changes people. They grow into and out of relationships. This is the situation in this story and it seems rather believable the way it is written. Since this is shounen ai and not yaoi, the demographics for the standard reader will be younger, but the pretense of the plot still fits within the parameters of the age range and expected experiences. So, I'm not sure why everyone is being such whiny brats. Anyway, the story really appealed to me in the way it was written and the perspective was refreshing. When the object of an unrequited love realizes that they have been oblivious, or intentionally overlooked the feelings of someone close to them, the regret and guilt will either destroy the friendship or create room for a deeper feeling to grow. This story portrayed the latter beautifully.

I agree that the execution was well done in terms of showing the complexity of unrequited love, and the boundary between friendship and love.

Then again, it was the shortness of the story that probably left most of the readers annoyed since what the main characters have done is unforgivable for their respective partners.

The story was too short to deal with the issue of cheating properly, although it did end with them having the resolve to stay with each other and presumably dealing with the consequence of their cheating.

As someone else commented, the stories (well, some) here feels rushed and not for one shots. They actually kinda feel like pilot chapters ( ̄∇ ̄") I did like them, nevertheless.
