I just think that's the most peaceful resolution to it and it suits the story well. The grandma was obvious sick from the start so her death was inevitable and it's not like the ml could forcefully bring her w him, that would be out of character. plus we know how much the fl value her grandma despite the beatings so yeah
i was kinda expecting more based on the comments. Throughout reading the whole thing i was wondering how the conflict was going to be solved and the author's solution was to kill off the grandma??? I was almost expecting the ml to start jumping up in joy lol. Idk everything fell flat
