It was a big misunderstanding, the fl thought that the ml was in a relationship with the other girl( the one he "cheated" with. And she wanted to hurt him like he hurt her. At that point both of them thought that he cheated.
Oh i know that, it really such a shame that all of this situation would have been solved if they just talked it out.
