I dont think hes hollow. I think hes traumatized and timid in ways that you dont like. I have met many people like him in my line of work. Some people are just like that, its not poor writing but a character archetype you dont like. Which is fine.

Humans feeling are not mathematics its not 1+1 equal 2 , and u can fall in love for a peace of trash even if they don't treat u well .
i don’t think that’s necessarily the issue, of course traumatized people exist and i think that story has a lot of potential to be told in a meaningful way but i still stand by my statement that THIS particular story is not good writing, the author uses rape as a plot point like 3 different times and keeps reusing the same scenarios of said traumatized person being the victim once again and needing saving. he really doesn’t do much but get thrown to the wolves every couple chapters. also it’s literally the overdone trope of broke person in debt needs help from rich ceo and they fall in love, that’s the definition of basic. not to say that storyline can’t be done in a good way, i’ve definitely ready some good stories with that same trope but this is most certainly not one of them. if you wanna talk about traumatized people in real life it might help if the story was actually more realistic, but it’s not. and if it’s not realistic, i think it should be at the very least fun to read…which its also not. it’s frustrating for no reason at all, a nuanced character can exist without having to make you hate them. i think there’s definitely less obnoxious ways to write a story about a traumatized and timid person, but agree to disagree i guess.
terrible read. the mc is so beyond frustrating he sucks at communicating and he’s such a hollow character, he’s literally just good looking and that’s kinda it. his good quality is he’s “kind” but he’s just annoyingly passive and a constant damsel in distress whose also broke as shit there’s absolutely nothing interesting about him. the ml is an asshole and there’s no chemistry between them yet somehow the mc confesses like 30 chapters in?? something goes wrong every time they have sex and the mc is complaining the whole time while the ml keeps getting frustrated yet SOMEHOW the mc catches feeling???? literally nothing good has happened how is he this easy the ml is constantly critiquing him for being bad in bed does this guy have a humiliation kink or something?? he’s so beyond desperate the ml does the bare minimum and the mc is groveling at his feet like you mustttt be joking. and he has the audacity to say “can’t you just have some feelings for me in the meantime” who wrote this?! on what earth would anyone ever say that after getting rejected over and over?? the ml said he’ll NEVER like the mc and he’s still begging him this is so humiliating…how are any of these characters supposed to be likeable ?! i feel like i just walked the prank, wake up and break up! gorgeous art tho
