Good question... I've read the novel. None of these reactions make sense to me. but one thing is clear, we don't have to wait much longer for Ml and Mc to get closer.

Borntobenovel right? Yeah I'm pondering whether to buy the chapters and read it too just like you. At the moment i came to read for free the part where he is urging him out of the room. He is a very ambiguous guy, so i don't understand whether he is moved by relentless feelings for sushu or he is just, like the narrative says, a very uninterested or unaware person to others reactions. To a point where he doesn't even do it with malice or dwelling on second thoughts, just a very cold practicality. Anyway thank you for telling me :D
I tried reading the novel but man my brain just committed suicide the hell is that writing why Korean manhwas always feels like they're dancing around the subject?

But yeah... i struggled too. But i guess... he is scared. Only scared about the fact that MC say he is a Beta... but deep down he knows there is something different with the MC. He is scared of the one thing he cannot control. So he thinks it can affect ShuShu too.
