It’s Ghislain in the novel so I believe that to be his actual name
Just binged the whole thing and it's sooo good! One question though: in the officials, the MC's name is Cecil and in the other translations it's Ghislain - which one is the correct one? It confuses and bothers the hell out of me ;u;
