Literally they're being punished for breaking the rules. Yes, however he is dorm leader. His job is to follow and enforce the rules. He may did it like a tyrant but those guys literally burnt down the statue that they represents (as his job as dorm leader. Technically because it's his job, he's in the right) also, I really dislike redhead. He literally is so disrespectful and breaks the rules some of the rules that are reasonable and yet he doesn't apologize, I don't get it (but I do like how Riddler became a better person)
