The poly ship ain't that bad you're all just used to reading love triangles or harem
I've been a Lucas shipper since day one but I always felt that second male lead syndrome for Ijekiel. He was actually a great guy and the only downside for him was his background. (And Lucas has his own downside like the whole drama wouldn't have happened if he wasn't so arrogant, world revolves anyway)
Also, possessiveness often comes from insecurities. Both male leads perceive each other as competitions, so of course they'd hate each other's guts. But if they really are in a polyamorous relationship then that is something that can be worked on.
And yeah I can give a lengthy discussion why this isn't harem (which is inherently patriarchal btw), or even reverse harem for that matter, but this Ted talk is already an "I ain't reading allat" worthy.
TLDR; Poly exists and work for (some) people. You can either fw or nah, no need for hate. It's an AU inside a fiction.
Sincerely, a poly person who's sick of getting little representation then seeing unecessary hate for it
I agree a 100% it’s so refreshing to have crumbs of poly representation haha, people say they don’t like that they couldn’t have the answer of who Athy chose but why does she have to? If she loves both then so be it

I also don't see the problem because it's SO obvious that the canon ending is Lucas and Lucas only, so there shouldn't be any doubts about that. The poly ship is just a nice non-canon addition lol
