She didn't rise above and we can still hold that against her, but I fully agree that she's both a product and a victim of her horrible parents and that she doesn't deserve the full blame for her actions :(

I know we supposed to hate her.
But I only feel pity for her.
She's basically another pawn in their parents eyes after Sofia failed to secure a husband (before the Duke), this damaging the sisters relationship.
