like he's thinking, he's considering, he's realizing. we're getting both POVs!! my only issue is that he essentially fell for her bcs she's interesting to him & kinda just a weird specimen, but we can't have it all eh ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ i'm satisfied
i hope they end up just teaming up w the prince & Rachel to take down the emperor & empress instead of wtv happened in the og story that lead to their demise. tho i feel like that's such a quick way to end things, if the crown prince is looked upon favorably & Rachel has crazy powers — the only obstacle is making the nobles & commoners not afraid of her, which i assume will involve the church spreading bullcrap abt how she's the devil or smthn & the protags will have to take care of allat. probably less risky than solo / duo treason
