I have like this feeling that they weren't neccescarily lovers or anything, becuase it looks more like the dad is clinging onto sensei... and wouldn't he have put up more of a resistane when it came to the son, it would have been a little more like different, becauase it would have been like the spitting image of the one you love all over again sort of thing...BUT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
