This thing is developing at a normal human pace. All yall that waiting for insta-love are clearly still children or need to let this marinade for a bit before reading.

From FL POV: ML is rich, handsome, from a high-ranking family, has other high-class women lining up for marriage AND has a cunt for a mom that told FL to stay away because her low social status and her lack of physical perfection/social breeding will bring him and his family trouble. And given the country the story is set in *that's probably TRUE.*

*What* about any of this would inspire a sudden metric ton of trust from a woman that has never been anyone's #1, not even in her own family? They treated her like a servant when she was at the temple even though she was essentially volunteering because she's a good kid.

ML very conveniently didn't know (?!) that his mother is a meddling rat who was always scheming in the background so he never clarified for FL, who knew that he was already waaaaay out of her league, that she shouldn't listen to word his mom said because he doesn't intend to filial and would marry whoever he wants regardless. To FL he came off like a fuckboy that was just playing around with her and now that shit is getting heavy and he's showing that he's actually serious, she has no idea how to handle it. This is exactly how a person with a fucked up family background would react.

what I like about the ML is he did not and will not tolerate his mother's actions because it clearly shows from the past chapters.

I also just want FL to be free from her suppressed emotions and (ml) letting her doing what she wants, it's in her decision now whether if she uses that opportunity or not.

I don't disagree, he's doing well. His persistence is what will make FL feel safe and loved once she's able to get past her fears and that persistence takes patience, something many men don't care to have. I hope she doesn't leave him waiting forever as well.
