On the prologue we see Julius still leading the rebellion, despite the fact that he have a more than good relationship with MC. Simon the Chancellor's reason fot plotting to Coup the royal family is also because of concern and imbalance system where the royal family sacrificing their life and the citizens taking it for granted. I reckon Julius didn't want MC sacrificing his life also so he help the Coup to save MC. Maybe they will find the way to coup without executing the Royal Family
